What will you do when the competition comes?
Because it’s coming.
The armies of aspiration are mobilising and their arrival is imminent. They want your customers, revenue and brand equity. They bring new ideas, energy, investment and enthusiasm thats waned in you.
They are motivated by a better life, the opportunity to indulge in their purpose and passion, and on a quest for rivers of revenue and freedom from the 9 to 5 grind.
For you this will mean reduced revenue and margins, the loss of customers, departure of staff, and raise questions about your ability to lead.
If you want to survive it will usher a new era of resourcefulness and the end of your mediocrity. No longer will you be able to do what you’ve always done and rely on your market position for success.
You’ll have to create a better customer experience, innovate, invest, learn, fight for every customer, find creative ways to cut costs, and look for blue oceans – uncontested market space.
No matter who you are and what you do the competition is coming.
Better to pretend they are already here from day one.
